NCSC celebrates first anniversary

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has celebrated its first anniversary after a year of significant progress.

NCC Group has been working closely with the NCSC since its inception. Initially supporting the CyberFirst scheme, which encourages young women to consider cyber as a career, NCC Group’s relationship with the NCSC has gone from strength to strength over the last year.

As well as being an NCSC-approved CHECK company, an NCSC assessment partner and a provider of certified Cyber Security Consultancy, NCC Group is also one of seven organisations accredited by the NCSC to provide Cyber Incident Response services with regards to critical national infrastructure.

Ollie Whitehouse, CTO at NCC Group, congratulated the NCSC.

He said: “We are extremely proud to have supported the NCSC in its first year. We have found the engagement, collaboration and support extensive across both proactive defensive activities as well as reactive incidents. The new free flow of information and collaborative approach is refreshing and one we believe is making a material difference to the UK’s cyber resilience.

“Through our close involvement in the NCSC’s initiatives over the last twelve months, we have seen the impact of its advice and support on the cyber security strategy and defence of organisations. We have no doubt that the NCSC will continue to be successful in its endeavours to improve security expertise in the UK, and look forward to developing this relationship further in the years to come.”
