Everything you need to know about GDPR before 25 May 2018Event date: 13 February 2018 - 20 April 2018
NCC Group’s privacy and governance specialists are traveling the length of the UK to cover all you need to know about General Data Protection Regulation.
For some organisations, GDPR may seem like another regulatory thorn in their side. For others, it’s an opportunity to better understand the data they hold and the relationship they have with customers, clients, suppliers and, of course, their own people.
Regardless, the incoming regulations means there is work to be done in the coming months. Policies, processes and procedures need to be re-assessed, incident response plans implemented and data mapping exercises carried out.
However, most organisations haven’t made the progress they should have. Recent research by Forrester has suggested that 80 per cent of firms will not fully comply with GDPR by 25 May 2018.
NCC Group is holding several events with the aim of helping you to understand GDPR and identify the benefits the new regulation will bring. Our privacy and governance specialists will take a high-level look at GDPR before diving in to areas that have proved problematic for many of our clients. We’ll then be on hand to answer any questions you have.
This event will cover:
- The basics of GDPR
- Breach notification and response under GDPR
- The lessons we’ve learned from working with many customers on GDPR programmes
- How others are tackling GDPR
- a data protection impact assessment
- Where you should focus efforts before May
